Hi! My name is Amulya Rekapalli. I am 16 years old and a rising junior at Northview High School. I was born and raised in Johns Creek, GA, a primarily Asian American suburb close to Atlanta, GA. My family consists of both of my amazing parents and my little brother who is ten years old.
I play the violin, tutor kids in math and English, watch movies, and read books. I want to major in Computer Science and Psychology when I go to college. My dream college is Vanderbilt University in Nashville, TN. My favorite book is "I'll Give You The Sun" I speak Telugu and English fluently. I am excited to be a part of the Girls Who Code program.
I am proud to say that I volunteer at some very inspiring organization and work with hard working passionate people. I am a part of the AFRJ anti-human trafficking Student Council. I also volunteer at the Guide Club in my school which provides tutoring in communities with smart kids, but bad school systems. I also volunteer for Red Cross and have volunteered for some blood drives.
I am passionate about the Black Lives Matter Movement, ending human trafficking, and removing stigma from mental illnesses.
All of my projects and work will be linked here in the future as well.
